International Merit Scholarship (2025/26)

  • The University of Suffolk International Merit Scholarship (2025–6) program aims to draw in and honor international students who have excelled academically in their prior coursework.
  • There is no need for a separate application because this scholarship is awarded automatically. This scholarship will be given to undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in two-year full-time programs who pay full tuition each year; the details and exclusions are listed below.
  • The number of prizes available for the 2025–06 academic year is unlimited. Scholarships will be offered as a reduction in the tuition that must be paid when a student enrolls in the university. Payment cannot be deducted from a mandatory CAS deposit.
  • Undergraduate courses:
  • Applicants who fulfill the stated entrance conditions will receive £2,000.
  • Applicants who surpass the stated entry requirements will get £3,000.
  • Programs taught by postgraduate students:
  • Candidates with bachelor’s degrees equivalent to 2:2 (lower second) levels will get £1,000.
  • Candidates with bachelor’s degrees equivalent to 2:1 (upper second) classes will get £2,000.
  • Candidates holding a first-class equivalent bachelor’s degree will receive £3,000.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the 2025–06 International Merit Scholarship, candidates need to:

  • Be categorized as overseas (international fees), for fee purposes.
  • Have applied to a course given at the undergraduate or graduate level by the Campus of the University of Suffolk in Ipswich
  • I’ve applied to start my studies in the 2025–06 school year.
  • Maintain a full-time study schedule
  • Applicants must be undergraduates beginning their first year of study.

  • Foreign candidates: December 1
  • Domestic candidates: January 4 and beyond
  • Consideration for the SBS Fellowship: November 1
