The “Swedish Institute Scholarships,” sometimes known as “SI Scholarships,” are esteemed prizes meant to encourage talent and leadership across the globe. Benefits of the SI Scholarships for Global Professionals
- International students from 41 countries can study at Sweden’s top universities with full funding thanks to the SI Scholarships for Global Professionals. Additional information about the costs covered is provided below:
- Full tuition payment: At the beginning of each semester, SI pays the tuition money directly to your Swedish university.
- Monthly Stipend: A stipend of SEK 12,000 per month to assist with living expenses throughout your studies.
- Insurance: Protection from illness and injury.
- Travel Allowance: A SEK 15,000 travel stipend (*10,000 for researchers from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, and Armenia). This one-time payment is not available to students who currently live in Sweden.
- Membership: Participation in the SI Network for Future Global Professionals (NFGP), a program created to assist with networking and professional development while
Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for the SI Scholarships, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
- Applications are invited from international students in the aforementioned nations.
- A minimum of 3000 hours of experience is required.
- Candidates need to have prior leadership experience in a firm or at work.
- Prior experience: In certain locations, having verifiable work experience is a requirement.

Deadline
The SI Scholarships for Global Professionals 2024–2025 application period is now closed. Master’s programs beginning in the autumn semester are eligible to apply for the scholarship once a year. International students will be able to apply for SI Scholarships for Global Professionals 2025–26 starting in October or November of 2024.
- 16 October 2024–15 January 2025: Apply to Swedish master’s programs through University Admissions.
- November: SI Scholarship application documents are published.
- 12–28 February 2025: The application portal for the SI Scholarship is open.
- 21 March 2025—University admissions announcement day.
- 25 April 2025: SI Scholarship announcement day.
Procedure to apply for SI Scholarship for Global Professionals
The scholarship covers a wide range of study fields and more than 700 of Sweden’s 1000 master’s programs taught in English. Applying for Swedish Institution Scholarships follows a detailed process. You can apply for a Swedish institute scholarship after submitting an application to a Swedish university. Below is a link to the advertisement and instructions:
- First, candidates have until January 15 to apply to a Swedish university’s master’s program. Admission information is available at University Admissions.se.
- Upon submitting their application, candidates will be assigned an application number. When applying for a scholarship, you will need to supply this number, so keep it in mind.
- The portal for applying for scholarships will be active from February 10 until February 28.
